Migrations without the horror story

Data migration that arrives complete: mapped, validated, and reversible.

Every team knows a migration horror story: the records that vanished, the duplicates that doubled, the "we'll clean it up later" that never came. Migration is a QA problem wearing a data costume, and QA is what MorningScale does.

The risk isn't moving the data. It's trusting it afterward.

A migration that loses 2% of records fails silently, everything looks fine until a customer calls about an order that no longer exists. Bad mappings corrupt quietly; duplicates multiply; and the old system gets switched off before anyone can check.

MorningScale treats migration like a tested release: field mapping agreed in writing, trial runs on real data, deduplication before the move, row-count and spot-check validation against source after it, and a rollback plan, so the switch is reversible until it is proven.

Use cases

The workflows we automate.

CRM-to-CRM migration

Moving to or from Salesforce and other CRMs with history, relationships, and attachments intact.

Legacy system retirement

Data out of the old tool, validated into the new one, before the license renews.

Consolidation & dedupe

Multiple sources merged into one clean system, duplicates resolved by rule, not luck.

Ongoing synchronization

When both systems must live on, kept in agreement with reconciliation checks.

What we build

How MorningScale helps: built and tested like a product.

Written mapping & migration plan

Every field accounted for, transformations documented, sign-off before anything moves.

Trial migrations

Full dry runs on real data, surprises found in rehearsal, not production.

Validation against source

Row counts, checksums, and spot checks proving the data arrived complete.

Rollback plan

The old system stays available until the new one is verified, reversible by design.

  • Zero silently lost records, validated, not assumed
  • Clean, deduplicated data on day one
  • History and relationships preserved
  • A cut-over you can reverse if anything is wrong

Questions worth asking.

How long does a CRM migration take?

Small orgs: days. Complex ones with years of history: a few weeks, most of it mapping and validation, not the move itself. The trial run tells us precisely, before you commit.

Can you migrate without downtime?

Usually, trial runs happen offline, and the final cut-over is scheduled into a quiet window with the old system still readable. Sync bridges cover cases where both must run in parallel.

What about our messy data, migrate or clean first?

Clean during: deduplication and normalization are built into the pipeline, so the new system starts clean instead of inheriting a decade of drift.
